Dear Miss Tanya,

Thank you so much for being my guardian angel and rescuing me from that Amish puppy mill. I am so grateful that you gave me a chance to find a safe place to live and a loving home.

I had kind of a rough ride to my new home yesterday - I got sick a couple times. I think maybe it was all the bumpy roads from the construction or something. I got to have a lot of car breaks and got to walk around different spots in Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. Boy was I glad when we were finally done with being in the car for the day!

I met my big brother Baboo - he's a 14-year-old German Shepherd mix. I like to follow him around and he doesn't seem to mind it at all. I also met my big sister Missy - she's a 4-year-old Flat-Coated Retriever mix. I like to bark at her and chase her around - most of the time she doesn't really seem to mind, but I'll keep working on her so she'll play with me some more because I really like her. Missy is a rescue dog like I am, but she came from New Orleans.

I love my backyard - there are lots of things to investigate and plenty of shade to play in. I've got lots of chew toys, which is good because I keep changing my mind about what I want to play with.

I met some of the neighbors and their kids last night - they are super nice and let me give them lots of kisses!

I visited my new puppy doctor this morning. She said I weigh a whole 12 pounds & that I'm really cute and healthy. My stitches from when I was neutered are doing ok now. I have to go back in 3 weeks for some more shots and stuff. I also got to go to PetSmart and had lots of little kids asking to pet me and play with me - that was a lot of fun.

My new mom & dad love having me here. They say I'm doing a really good job with the house training so far - I've only had two minor accidents, but most of the time I know to do my business outside.

Mom doesn't know where the cord for the camera is to send you some pictures, but she will send some asap so that you can see what my new life is like here. She is attaching to this note a picture that dad took on his cell phone of me next to our huge water bowl!
