Happily Ever After Pet "Tails"
My 6 Chi's
The first time I met the director of His Hands Extended Sanctuary I knew she had a special heart. We went to see a Chihuahua she had and before we left we had two. Welcome home Esther and Ruth Anne! I felt moved to volunteer at the sanctuary when I met Pablo. He was a special black and white chi that had been deemed unadoptable. It seemed he had bitten a child and was too great a risk to place. So he came to live with my husband and me and my 6 chi’s. Then I absolutely fell in love with little Gracie. Unfortunately it was not returned! She was a biter too. Very frightened and she had good reason to be. She was missing half her foot from a wire cage she was born in and part of her tail was gone too. But she was she beautiful to me. I patiently waited for her to trust me and then I asked to adopt her. She is my absolute life line. She makes me smile inside and out. I thought at this point I had a house full and heart, but not so! There was a little guy that I admired since day one and that was, ChiChi Mongo Mann. I just adored the little guy but thought he was never coming to live with us, so I never tried. Then one day I found out he could be adopted and I brought him home to join my crew. The work His Hands Extended Sanctuary does is a blessing for those of us who have had the opportunity to adopt a dog or cat from her. His Hands Extended gave me a different prospective on rescue and adoption; or backyard breeders and puppy mills. If not for her I would never have met my sweet Gracie. If you are considering adding a pet to your family, you can rest assure that a rescue pet will give you back much more than you ever dream of. You will be getting a lifetime of loyalty and love!
Sincerely, Carol
