Happily Ever After Pet
"Tails"
Me
and the Gang

My name
is Donna. First and above all, I have always had a soft spot for
big dogs. I have had English Labs and Lab/retreivers. They are the
best!! I currently have a lab and got the idea that he should have
a playmate. I went on a search for one and came across His Hands
Extended Sanctuary. There was the cutest little Chihuahua looking
back at me. Her name was Rose Lyn. She was the same color as my
lab and had the sweetest face. Right away she melted my heart. . .
and needed a forever home. Anyone that knows me will tell you that
if I take a pet; it's for forever. I do not buy from breeders; I
rescue. So, I applied for Rose Lyn. I was so excited to hear from
Miss Tanya. We talked and I was anxiously awaiting to see if I
would qualify for this little sweetheart. When Tanya told me that
she would be happy for me to adopt Rose Lyn, I immediately sent the
adoption fee and made plans to go and pick her up. I started to
prepare my lab for his new sister's arrival.
Then, I heard from Tanya again. She wanted to know if I would
consider taking another Chi; Miss Petunia. Well, sure, why not.
Rose and Petunia did everything together and I couldn't separate
them. Miss Petunia was just as sweet as Rose. So, I pack a bag and
my daughter and I did a road trip to the Sanctuary. Off we go to
get my new babies. To say that these two little girls were the
sweetest pups you could ever want, is an understatement. I was
asked how long they would be left alone. . .well, they wouldn't. .
.I take them to work with me. It's nice being the boss!! LOL!
There was a 3rd Chi, but, she had a heart problem and couldn't be
adopted. Yeah, I would have taken the 3rd one, too!! LOL! Rose
and Petunia survived the 4 1/2 hr drive home in their new coats and
carriers. My lab loved them right from the start. He is so gentle
with them and only plays with them if he is laying on the floor. .
.but, open the door and they all take off running outside and
through the yard!! Everyone fell in love with my new babies!!
Then, I received an email about Little Violet. Her heart surgery
was a success!! And would I consider taking Miss Violet!!! YES. .
.YES. . .YES!! Once again, I am on a road trip!! I went to see
this little bundle. She's not social; but, she had my heart. I am
trying to socialize her and I do take her to work occasionally.
When there are too many people around, she goes into my office or
she is right by my side. Miss Violet is so loving and gets along
with the other 3 dogs. They play and run and climb all over the
lab!! Now, I am a lover of BIG dogs and LITTLE ones, too!!
Tanya, thank you so much for having faith in me to care for your
little ones. You are the best!!
Sincerely,
Donna
