Chuma

Tanya,

Thought I'd give you an update on Sarah Rose (nka Chuma, pronounced Chew-ma with the emphasis on the Chew, which, in Hindi, means "Kiss").

She has adapted very rapidly, although we were concerned enough yesterday morning that we scheduled an emergency visit to the vet's office.  Our concern was that she hadn't urinated since she baptized your kitchen floor.  The vet tried to get a urine sample but was unable to.  So, she gave her a B12 shot (and her boosters) and sent her home.  After a good 3 hour nap, she woke up and did her business just like she should.

We only have had one accident in the house (well, two if you count the poo).

She and the cat have kept their distance except for this afternoon when Chuma was sitting in front of me at the computer and Little Joe jumped up expecting his reserved space (which is sitting in front of me at the computer) to be available.  There were no theatrics so all is well.

Chuma is ensconced on a comforter between my computer station and Philip's, and seems very content (photo attached).

Oh, and she also survived her bath yesterday.

Thanks for all the work you do and for allowing us to adopt Chuma.

Susan.
