His Hands Extended Sanctuary would like to thank our special sponsors for their help in providing a forever home for the animals here

His Hands Extended Sanctuary has lost a great supporter and even better friend.  Thomas Coon has passed after several years of struggling with COPD.  He, until the end, was a stanch supporter and board member helping with day to day decisions and guiding us with his experience and loving nature.  The animals are going to miss the unending treats and ear rubs he never ceased to pass out.  Every new rescue was introduced to Thom and found in him a loving kindred spirit who through his own suffering saw theirs and reached out to comfort them.  As his disease progressed holding, loving, and consoling lost little souls was the only job he could manage, but oh how well he did it.  Every little addition was beautiful in his sight; as he was in ours.  Go in peace kind soul, you will be missed with every breathe we take and never forgotten. We love you and look forward to the time we will all be together again.   We know you will be at the Rainbow Bridge with all the little angles that have passed through the Sanctuary gates into heaven, save a place for us and know that we think of you always.

The Pedigree Foundation

Thank you so much for your generous support for our goal of placing puppy-mill rescues and shelter dogs into new forever homes.  Your donation will enable us to prepare 6 more dogs to find new homes and families.  They will receive their vaccines, be spayed and neutered and groomed and then start an evaluation program to ensure their successful placement in a loving new family.

The dogs your check will help are Trudy, a tiny thrown away Chihuahua who needed time to heal emotionally before attempting to place her; Pecos Pete a feisty Chihuahua who was going to be euthanized because his “attitude” was misunderstood as aggression when in fact it was fear;  Bartimeus, a blind older Pomeranian throw away and in a county shelter, Natasha a puppy-mill breeding female Pomeranian, turned in when she was no longer “productive”, Charles Nelson Reilly a Yorkie cross puppy-mill rescue and his friend Victor Maurice a Yorkie cross male who lived in box and never had human contact until coming to the Sanctuary.

All these loving and wonderful dogs are schedule for their needed surgeries and vaccinations in December and January and your donation will go towards their needs.  They will be on our website and Petfinders as soon as they are ready.  Thank you again so much for your donation and know that we will continue to reach out to more dogs in need.

Thank you Dan and Mariann of Urbana, Ohio for sponsoring Olivia Graces’s cancer surgery, at a time where Sanctuary funds are stretched to the limit it is a wonderful blessing when animal lovers step up to give a dog a second chance.  While our thanks are heartfelt and genuine I am sure Olivia’s Boxer wiggle, big toothy grin, and wet sloppy kisses will say more to you than we ever could.   Please come out and collect them when you can.  Bless you for caring, sharing, and helping a wonderful dog.
