Help us build our puppies-only kennel

Currently 0% Fulfilled

Winter is approaching and the puppies from the puppy-mills are still coming in. We just pulled 15 more to safety and more are waiting. I foolishly thought the numbers would dwindle but that is not the case. While the weather was nice we had the ability to park the cars outside of the garage and put up temporary “bed rooms” where everyone was dry, safe, clean and happy. We have turned so many lives around and placed them in to loving homes this year. Well over 150 puppies have transitioned through the Sanctuary’s doors to lives of joy and love. With cold weather fast approaching we are faced with a choice; stop opening our doors to more puppies that need help or put up a puppies only kennel.

A local builder has given us an estimate of $8500.00 to build a fully enclosed, insulated building with 3 windows, a door, cement floor, easily cleanable walls 4 doggy doors and electric to allow light and heat. While it is not a big building (12 by 12); set up properly it would enable us to have sleeping places for the pups and doggy doors to allow them to experience the freedom by giving them access to their outside fenced in yards.

If we do not offer refuge to these innocent babies they will either live until adults in the mills, be sold at auction to other careless breeders, or be killed since the pet stores in our area are no longer buying the Amish “product” of designer puppies. It is not easy to admit that we need help to do this project but our limited funds have been so stretched by all the dogs we have brought in spayed, neutered, brought up to health and placed, 268 since last year, we find ourselves in the position to have to reach out to kindred souls who have the same love for these dogs as we do.

If each of our 233 face book Likes would go to our website www.hishands-extendedsanctuary.com and donated through PayPal $36.48 we could begin this project and have it done in time to keep warm and safe the babies that are here now in transition to new homes and the ones waiting to come to safety. I know times are tight but if any of you can help with this project it would be greatly appreciated and is totally tax deductible. Also please share this campaign with anyone who might be interested in helping us reach this goal. There will be a progression bar that keeps everyone up to date on how we are doing and anyone with questions is welcome to contact me personally. When we are successful in raising the funds for this kennel I will post pictures of the project as it builds. Watch how your help guarantees these puppies a better life on our face book and website listings.

There will be a donor board mounted in front of the new kennel when it is built with the names of those who donated engraved into brass plaques and displayed with our and the puppy’s thanks. You can donate in memory of a loved one (two legged or four legged) and we will proudly display these in their honor. Send the name of a rescued pet you have in your family or have lost and they will be forever honored with your donation to help us continue our work with puppy-mill dogs.

Thank you for partnering with us in our continued work to save the victims of puppy-mill abuse and neglect, I hope you enjoy some of the little faces I have posted that have benefited from the Sanctuary’s help and those here still waiting for their forever homes, and waiting to be brought to safety into the loving arms of the staff at His Hands Extended Sanctuary..

His Hands Extended Sanctuary

Every day we receive calls to help with animals in crisis and every day we are faced with a growing financial need.  Food, vet care, shelter, and staffing can only be met with generous donations from animal loving people who want to help.  We realize that not everyone can take on responsibility of so many animals facing so much need.  But everyone can help the sanctuary to do the work necessary to help provide a forever home for these sweet souls.

We need donations in order to open our doors to more animals in need, you can specify what you would like your donation to go towards; food, vet care, building fund, education of humane treatment of all creatures, spay and neuter funding, staffing, or general needs.  Every dollar donated will be stretched to do the most good and will be used to benefit the animals at the Sanctuary and build more facilities to help more animals who suffer from being surplus and unwanted.  We are in No Kill sanctuary and believe every life has value.

Please help us by becoming a member and joining our fight for No More Homeless and Hurting Pets.
