Welcome to our website and thank you for your interest in helping thrown away pets find a new happy life.  His Hands Extended Sanctuary stands in the gap for homeless pets and provides medical care, food, shelter and most important lots of love to begin the rebuilding of shattered lives.  Dogs and cats come to us under many circumstances most are abandoned, abused, or from puppy mills.  Many are victims of irresponsible owners who allow their pets to breed, producing more kittens and puppies causing our pet overpopulation tragedy.  For some this is the first time they have ever known kindness, care and the security of a forever home.

Our greatest hope is for “No more homeless pets” and we work with the Hope Clinic of Upper Sandusky, Ohio to promote low cost spay and neuter opportunities.  All animals at the Sanctuary are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, wormed, and receive flea treatment as the first step to rebuilding their lives.  While we work to match the right animal to the right family, we realize that for most, they will have forever homes here.

We have built a special cage free environment for all our animals.  The dogs have large chain-linked yards and a heated kennel while the cats enjoy roomy unique open area enclosures with trees, toys, bushes, and water to play in and around.  We hope you will take time to view the pictures of our “family members” enjoying their lives here and if you can support us in our work we would greatly appreciate it and so would they.
